Hometown Tragedy

I thought long and hard on this, and I've come to the decision to inform you all and ask of you a huge favor. Below you will see a collage of my hometown, Bucyrus OH, and yes, it's underwater. I know a lot of people who are homeless and lost all of their possessions in the flash flooding that occurred here. The very sad part is that being in the northwest, very few people spend the money to acquire flood insurance, unless of course they live in a flood plain. We have not gotten this much rain (over 9 inches in less than 24 hours) in 38 years. That's more years than I've been alive!! So, in order to help these people, I'm asking for donations through my blog. If you find your way here, and download a kit or two, I'm begging of you to please take the time to donate a bit to these people in need. I've spoken with my pastor about it, and to my sister, who is a city employee, and the funds I collect will be anonymously donated to the various charitible groups who are assisting these poor victims.

I appreciate all of you reading this, even if you cannot afford to help.

I feel awful for promising y'all the link and not being able to come thru on the Country Linen Alpha D/L. Drama, drama, drama. *Sigh* I totally forgot that today is the day that my MIL leaves for Mexico... so yesterday evening I had a fun house of people coming to say Bon Voyage to her. (There's truly a reason that they come over here, but we won't get into it right now. LOL)

*Whew* It's too hot!! LOL Why is it that even with central air, I have to walk outside and then back inside to cool off? Life is so weird!!

Anyhow, I've been working on a new part of my Country Linen kit... a puffy sticker alpha! It's not quite completed yet, and unfortunately I have to quit in the middle to head off to work. *Blah* Oh well... you gotta do what you gotta do. Can't scrap all the time (as much as we want to..... right gals??)

Serendipity Freebie... and some ranting

Oh my goodness!! I came to my computer to work on some new kits and when did I get so unorganized!?!?? So, instead of jumping onto the computer I started trying to clean up a bit. A bit?? yeah, I've been at it for 3 hours now. It's all snowballing into more and more. Whew! Okies, so now I'm distracted and I'll be cleaning for a while. Heehee!

This posting is my break from it all. LOL
